Background and Education

Dr. Gabrielle (Gabby) Marton is a clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults. She earned her B.A. in Psychology, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from William James College, where she also completed a master’s degree in Professional Psychology. Dr. Gabby has trained and worked in outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, hospitals, and intensive treatment programs, most recently at The Village for Families and Children and at Child Mind Institute’s Anxiety Disorders Center.

Professional Experience

Dr. Gabby works with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, mood, attention, learning, and behavioral challenges. She has particular expertise in treating anxiety disorders and OCD, as well as supporting parents and families.

Her areas of expertise include:

  • Anxiety and OCD: Dr. Gabby has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to treat generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. 
  • Behavioral and Emotional Dysregulation: She works with children and families to address emotional outbursts and disruptive behavior, offering strategies for coping and regulation. She is trained in Parent Management Training (PMT) and live parent coaching models that strengthen children’s skills and improve family functioning.
  • Selective Mutism: With specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM), Dr. Gabby has provided both individual therapy and group-based interventions, including the Brave Buddies program, to help children build communication skills and confidence.
  • Attention and Learning Challenges: She supports children and adolescents with ADHD and learning difficulties by targeting executive functioning, academic coping skills, and emotion regulation.
  • Social Skills and Peer Relationships: Drawing on her background in social skills training, she helps children and teens strengthen peer connections and build social confidence.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Gabby has experience conducting diagnostic assessments and collaborating closely with schools. Her research has focused on autism, social skills development, and the effectiveness of exposure-based treatment for OCD and anxiety.

Dr. Gabby takes a warm, collaborative, and empowering approach to therapy, tailoring each treatment plan to her clients’ unique needs and goals. She emphasizes practical strategies that children, teens, families, and young adults can apply both in and outside of therapy to create lasting change.

Individual Therapy for Children and Adolescents
She provides evidence-based therapy for kids and teens experiencing clinical challenges, focusing on helping clients develop skills for resilience and success.

Individual Therapy for Young Adults
Dr. Gabby supports emerging adults as they navigate life transitions, including independence, academic demands, and identity development, while managing mental health challenges.

Parent Coaching and Family Support
She works closely with parents, offering structured coaching to strengthen parenting strategies, reduce family stress, and support children’s emotional well-being.

Outside of work, Dr. Gabby enjoys trying new workout classes, exploring restaurants, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. She also loves dogs and never misses a chance to stop and say hello to one on the street. Gabby brings the same curiosity, joy, and care to her personal life as she does to her work with clients.
