Small Brooklyn Psychology is a private practice—founded by Mandi White-Ajmani, PhD—that provides assessment and evidence-based therapy for people of all ages. Our neuropsychological assessment service offers high-quality, thorough, practicable assessment for all ages, but we have special expertise in assessment of kids, from babies through young adults. Many parents seeking assessment for their children are worried, confused, and overwhelmed, so we do our best to provide an experience that is warm, patient, highly personalized, and truly useful. We also operate from best practices in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, using methods that are both grounded in research and feasible in the real world.

Small Brooklyn Psychology meets the needs of these families right in their own borough. Our offices are housed in Industry City, an energetic campus full of food, events, and community spaces.
We are seeking a full-time child neuropsychologist to help grow the practice and to meet the demand for evaluations in Brooklyn. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited graduate program
- Has completed at least two years of postgraduate training in neuropsychological assessment with children and adolescents
- Is eligible to pursue board certification in clinical neuropsychology
- Is fully licensed or license-eligible to practice psychology
Assessment experience with babies and toddlers is a plus, and we will give extra consideration to those with deep knowledge of school-based interventions and systems

- Is a clear, warm, compassionate, and professional communicator who can help change families’ lives
Specific duties include:
- Provides a full range of neuropsychological diagnostic and evaluative services for children across the developmental and psychological spectrum (Specific instrument or platform knowledge is not necessary; we’re happy to train as needed!)
- Makes recommendations for treatment and improvement based on the latest research and best practices
- Consults with families, schools, and other treatment providers as needed
- Teaches/trains/supervises psychology trainees
- Writes content as needed for practice publications
- Gives presentations and workshops for community organizations
- Assists creatively whenever possible to contribute to the needs of the practice
This is a full-time, W-2 position. Wages are based on a percentage of fees earned; based on completing 4 evaluations per month, this position is likely to earn $190,000–210,000 per year. Health, dental, and vision benefits are available (with generous contribution to the individual premium), and we offer a 401(k) with 4% match and an annual training stipend.
