This summer, Small Brooklyn is offering week-long 1:1 intensives with Dr. Gabby Marton, specifically designed for children navigating Selective Mutism, Social Anxiety, Phobias, or OCD. This immersive model condenses months of progress into a single, high-impact 5-day week of 3-hour daily sessions. By moving beyond the traditional weekly format, we reduce the opportunity for avoidance and create momentum for “bravery breakthroughs.”
The program emphasizes real-world application; with caregiver permission, therapy often extends beyond the office into the Industry City complex. These experiences allow children to practice skills in authentic settings—like initiating conversations or navigating new environments—helping them build confidence and generalize their progress more effectively than office-based work alone.
Each day is intentionally designed and individually tailored to maximize growth while supporting your child’s emotional well-being through a balanced mix of exposure-based interventions, skill-building, and planned breaks to prevent burnout.
We believe parents and caregivers are essential partners in this process. Throughout the intensive, you will be invited to participate in structured check-ins and coaching to ensure you are equipped with the strategies needed to reinforce progress at home.
While intensive treatment is a powerful catalyst for change, we view it as a springboard for long-term success. We work closely with families to determine readiness and ensure a seamless transition to more traditional individual therapy, if recommended, to maintain the growth made during their week with Dr. Gabby.
