Dr. Gabby Marton’s groups are based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles. Participants will learn what anxiety is, why it happens, and how avoiding uncomfortable situations can actually strengthen anxiety over time. Dr. Gabby will also teach practical skills such as starting conversations, speaking up for oneself, and handling everyday social interactions with more confidence.

A major strength of the program is that it takes place in a real-world setting at Industry City, where there are many natural opportunities for exposure practice. Participants will work on skills such as entering stores, asking employees questions, and ordering food in the food hall, with guidance and support from Dr. Gabby. These experiences help participants gradually build confidence in everyday social situations while learning they can handle anxiety.
